AMATEUR CARDS
See USEF GR1306. Every person who has reached his 18th birthday and competes in classes for amateurs under USEF rules must possess an Amateur Card issued by the Federation (send copy with entry). Application may be made at the Horse Show Office, paid by CHECK ONLY.
USEF MEMBERS — No Fees. Non USEF Members Adult/Juvenile fee $30.00. USEF Non-Member Amateur-Adult/Juvenile fee $30.00.
STALL ASSIGNMENTS, STABLING AND HORSE VAN PARKING
Stalls with doors will be assigned as entries are received with preference given to previous and consistent exhibitors. Only the Manager has the authority to assign or reassign stalls. ALL HORSES MUST BE STABLED. IF YOU INTEND TO HAUL HORSES IN FOR THE NIGHTLY SESSIONS, THEY MUST ARRIVE, BE UNLOADED, AND STABLED PRIOR TO 5:00 PM. HORSE VAN PARKING WILL BE PROVIDED ON THE SHOW GROUNDS ONLY FOR VANS HAULING HORSES FOR NIGHTLY PERFORMANCES AND NOT STABLING HORSES OVERNIGHT. ALL HORSE VANS REQUIRING PERMANENT PARKING FOR THE WEEK MUST BE PARKED AT BOWMAN FIELD AIRPORT. THE STALL MANAGER MUST ESCORT YOUR VAN IN AND OUT OF THIS FACILITY AS IT WILL BE LOCKED AT ALL TIMES.
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AND GROUNDING
All equipment, regardless of power source, must comply with all Federal, State and local safety codes. All extension cords must be a 3 wire grounded type. All exposed non-current carrying metal parts of fixed equipment, which are liable to be energized, shall be grounded.
ENTRIES
Send copies of registration papers, ASHA membership cards for owner and trainer, AHHS membership card of the owner and trainer, ARHPA and USEF membership cards for owner, rider, and trainer. The Horse Show Committee reserves the right to reject any entry.
JUNIOR EXHIBITORS
The age of a Junior Exhibitor on December 1st, 2008 shall be maintained throughout the entire year.
DOGS
Dogs must be on a leash at all times in accordance with Local Ordinance. DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE HORSE SHOW OFFICE.
PONY MEASUREMENTS
Every pony must have a current measurement card or form issued by the USEF or CEF and must present it to the Show Secretary before receiving numbers. Please include copies if possible with entry. PONIES WILL BE MEASURED AT 5:00 PM, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6 and as needed. NON-MEMBER HORSE/PONY MEASUREMENT FEE: $40.
POST ENTRIES
Entries at the regular fee must be postmarked no later than MAY 18, 2009. POST ENTRIES will be accepted at the regular entry fee plus $15 per horse up to TWO HOURS before the session entered. FOR ENTRIES MADE TWO (2) HOURS BEFORE THE SESSION THERE WILL BE A POST ENTRY FEE OF $100.00. ENTRIES MAY BE FAXED. PLEASE NOTE AND OBSERVE THIS DEADLINE.
PRIZE MONEY
Prize money will be paid by check drawn to the order of the PAYEE designated on entry form. Payment will be made promptly by mail following the closing of the show. PLEASE INDICATE ON ENTRY FORM TO WHOM CHECKS ARE PAYABLE (PAYEE) and include SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER OF PAYEE. FAILURE TO INCLUDE SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER OF PAYEE MAY DELAY RECEIPT OF PRIZE MONEY.
STALLS
One night stalls will be available at $50.00 per night. If you enter more than two times you will be charged full stall fee.
All stalls have doors.

RULES
Every class offered herein is covered by the rules and specifications of the current
United States Equestrian Federation
rulebook and will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. Exhibitors are requested to thoroughly acquaint themselves with the rules of the USEF and the Horse Protection Act of 1979 as amended. Any change in the current USEF rulebook will automatically become a part of the Premium list.
USEF SB101.2 - In the event a person files a false affidavit or an affidavit to show change of ownership or change of name without having taken the steps to make the change with the ASHA the Federation will levy a fine against that person in the amount of $200.
DRUGS AND MEDICATIONS
In compliance with the drug and medication rule, a $15.00 fee will be collected on all horses entered, including equitation's horses. Payment to be included with entries (Drug and medications $9.00, USEF $8.00).
CANCELLATION-REFUNDS
Exhibitors canceling entries in writing prior to the closing date of entries May 18, 2009 shall be entitled to a full refund. Exhibitors canceling entries in writing after May 18 and before May 25, 2009 shall be entitled to a refund of all fees less a $25.00 handling charge only if supported with Veterinarian Certificate giving comprehensive diagnosis.
VETERINARIAN CERTIFICATES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OR HONORED AFTER JUNE 10, 2009
NO STALL REFUNDS will be made for any entry not
canceled in writing prior to MAY 25 unless stalls can be resold.
EXHIBITOR'S LOUNGE
Refreshments and dinner will be served each evening in the Club House from starting at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Catering by Silver Spoon.

ASHA , AHHS, & ARHPA MEMBERSHIP
To be eligible to show at a USEF Rated Shows all Owners and Trainers of American Saddlebred Horses must show proof of current membership in the American Saddlebred Horse Association Also Owners and Trainers of Hackney/Harness Ponies must show proof of current membership in the American Hackney Horse Society. All trainers, owners, and drivers of Roadster Horses must be members of the ARHPA.
FEES
Stalls $110.00. No first bedding.

PARKING
A limited number of parking spaces will be available in the Christian Academy parking lot on the West Side of the show grounds at $50.00 each for TRAINERS ONLY. (Limit of one space per stable). Valet parking will be available.
ADMISSION
GENERAL ADMISSION $6.00 per session Wednesday thru Saturday night.
RESERVED SEATS $8.00 per session Wednesday thru Saturday night.
EXHIBITOR-GROOMS BADGES $30.00 each. All persons entering the show grounds must have a grooms badge or ticket.

KENTUCKY SADDLEBRED CUP – A horse must be shown in the open class at
Rock Creek, Shelbyville, and Kentucky Fall Classic to be eligible for this honor. It will be based upon a point system of first thru fifth, (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) with first getting five (5) points. The horse with the most points will be awarded this cup at the Kentucky Fall Classic Horse Show and a monetary prize in October.
USEF MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Riders. A non-member may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon a payment of a $30.00 non-member registration fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) lead line; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions; 8) Opportunity classes; 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. (See GR901.9 of the Federation rules.)
MOTORIZED VEHICLES
GR 1301. Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Rule 7. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt for this rule.
ATTENTION DEVICES
In consideration of your fellow exhibitors and for the presenting the proper image of the American Saddlebred, attention-getting devices should be used with caution in the warm up and schooling areas.
Items such as tape measures, blow horns, split bamboo poles or whips longer than six (6) feet, that would alter the performance of a horse or disturb another horse while performing in a class, will not be allowed at the entrance to the show ring or ringside. Explosives, fire extinguishers and laser beams used as training aids are prohibited on the show grounds before, during or after the show. All such items will be confiscated and offenders will be reported to the USA EQUESTRIAN. (See USA EQUESTRIAN, article 302.4i)
TRAINERS PURSE INCENTIVE
The trainers of winning entries on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday are eligible to win an additional $100 by simply signing the entry blank as trainer and MOST IMPORTANTLY entering by the deadline of May 18, 2009.
The added $100 will be paid to the trainer and cannot be used towards any balance the trainer may have with the horse show.
A $100 gift card for The Bristol Bar & Grille Restaurant in Louisville will be awarded to the trainer who has the most ENTRIES submitted by the earliest date.
A $100 gift card for the Avalon Restaurant in Louisville will be awarded to the trainer who enters the most HORSES by the closing date of May 18.
